One of the reasons that makes me who I am as a caregiver is the compassion that I have in my heart for my clients and their families. I am a person of integrity, honesty, dependability and concern. It's about giving of myself to my clients and having a sense of the quality of life concerning the lifestyle they have. When I come into their presence a smile comes on their face. I will show the passion, give the encouragement, and hope they will have the confidence that I will know exactly what to do concerning their plan of care. I became a caregiver because of my mother's influence. Listening to her talk about her clients was interesting and heart warming and sometimes I felt sad and wanted to help, so I did! The rewards of being a caregiver is caring for those who cannot care for themselves or just needing a little help. Always understanding what care consists of at all times regardless of the situations and circumstances whether it's to assist or just HELP. I love what I do as a caregiver because I have a compassionate heart.

I trained as teacher in Ghana and taught basic school for four years before going to theUniversity. As a basic school teacher I was the first aide provider taking care of sick and injured children, which i really enjoyed doing. when i completed University i taught as a high school teacher and there i was made i house mistress, in charge of over 200 girls in the boarding school. i was in charge of their general well being including first aide and sending them to the hospital if the need arise. From these experiences i got attached emotionally to people and i try to do my best for people especially when they need my help or when they are sick. When i came to the United States in 2012 i trained as a home health aide and i have been giving care it till date. I find joy and satisfaction in the fact that families can trust and rely on me to provide the best of care for their loved ones even when they are not near. i enjoy the bond that is created when the people i care for grow to love and treat me like a family member. Because of the joy i get from my care giving job, i want to train as a Nurse to continue taking care of people who need my help.
