Back in 2004 I had my daughter Daniyah the baby girl that I always wanted in 2008 my daughter woke up and she told me she couldn't focus her eyes so I took her to the hospital and they told me that she was having migraine headaches i said no it can't be because this is been going on for a few days now so I took her to Christ Hospital that same day after St James told me that she was having migraine headaches so in the midst of me taking her to Christ Hospital on 95th in Chicago they did a CAT scan and an MRI on my daughter the CAT scan and MRI came back and they told me that my daughter had a tumor on her brain the size of an orange so they airlifted us to UIC they sent over the CAT scans and an MRI the neurosurgeon came in and he wants to do emergency surgery and a biopsy so I asked him why and he said Miss Carter we have to do this surgery to see if this tumor that your daughter have on her brain is cancerous we have to do a biopsy and we have to send it out to the lab he said I'm so proud of you for bringing her in at the time that you did he said because the way this tumor is looking your daughter probably wouldn't have made it through the night so I let him go and do the surgery he did the biopsy and he came back and he said your daughter has what we call pineoblastoma he said it's a cancer that's only found in children he said your daughter is at the last stage hurted me I don't know what I was going to do so I said Doctor are you telling me my daughter has the last stage of brain cancer he said yes Miss Carter so he told me I'll give her 6 months to a year to live my daughter lived five years after that my daughter passed away when she was nine and a half years old in 2013 August 29th I never forget she fought a good fight and she did a great job of doing it but with that being said her and my daughter made me Wanna care for others I've always had a good heart i also have certifications for CPR AED and first aid
