About Patricia

I am a compassionate and dedicated caregiver with experience of two years. I just moved back to my hometown (Chicago, Il) from a small town in Minnesota. While I was over in Minnesota, I became a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home that offered long-term, rehab and memory care services. I immediately knew it was the job for me. I made amazing friendships with fellow caregivers who shared the same passion as mine. I also met residents who changed my life and made me feel proud of what I was doing. Being a care giver was the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I primarily worked in the memory care unit where I dealt with combative residents daily. I learned all my resident's triggers and provided them with a proper response. I played cards with them, sang songs, even danced and helped them with their activities of daily living. (Not limited to bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, companionship, and recorded their vital signs.) I miss them all so much and I am eager to continue working as a caregiver. I plan on continuing my education and becoming a registered nurse.
