About Guadalupe

My name is Guadalupe I have 20 years of medical experience and over 6 years of CNA / Caregiving experience and CPR certified. What makes me a great caregiver is I have compassion and empathy in caring for the sick and having patience to understand their frustrations and needs. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love helping others and seeing my clients happy knowing they feel safe and in good hands with me. I enjoy having conversations with my clients and taking care of their needs. What makes me stand out more from other caregivers is I have patience and compassion and again understand my clients needs. I am a hard worker and get the job done as I am told. I also understand the trust in willing to accept me as a caregiver knowing I will be the right canidate for your love one ans can relate because I also have disable 6 year old daughter with a heart condition so with that said, it takes a lot of love and patinece to take care of a sick or disable person who can't take care of him/herself. I learned to understand and deal with difficult situations and stay calm n understand their frustrations. I do have experience with Dementia and Alzheimer clients I've work in memory care facilities, and private homes for the past 6 years! I was actually employee of the month at my current job at Brightstar when I first started. I always get a request from previous family members asking if I can take care of their love one and be a caregiver because I am very humble and easy to talk too and get the job done. My proudest achievement is getting certified as a CNA Caregiver, being employee of the month and being acknowledged for the hardwork as a caregiver. I enjoy being a friend/ companion to my clients, and providing the best care to their needs at the end of my shift leaving them with a smile knowing they were in good hands with me

I was a Librarian back in the Philippines but when I came to the US in 2006, my friend encouraged me to try working with the elderly as a caregiver. Since then, I have been working as a caregiver and I developed the love and passion in taking care of the elderly. I have experience in taking care.of elderly with different health issues such as Alzheimers, Dementia, diabetis, heart diseases (ie. CHF), Lung or respiratory disease, stroke, cancer, hospice, etc. I assist my residents with their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, walking, exercising, etc.. I also do meal preparation , laundry, light housekeeping and medication reminder. I can also assist my Residents with their errands and bring them to their doctor's appointments. I am not only a caregiver to to my Residents but I am also a companion, a friend, a confidant whom they could trust and depend on. I am a responsible person,, loyal and reliable. I stay with my Residents until they terminate my employment. I am proud of being a caregiver because I know I make a difference in the lives of my Residents and I am grateful that most of my Residents that I have taken cared of, including their families, trusted me to be part of the last journey of their lives. My nationality is Filipino and we are known to be the best in caregiving, especially to the elderly.
