About Jan

I love providing home care giver services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients’ lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. Ask any current Caregivers why they do it, and the answer is bound to be the same: because it’s one of the most rewarding things a person can do. That said, such reward is always the outcome of care giving, but never the motivator behind choosing to do it. People become Caregivers because they have a passion for putting others first. Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. In essence, it’s about making small changes to your everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disability. Seeing them respond to their new environment – and the care and love that shapes it - provokes a feeling that must be experienced to be believed. And there’s simply no reward quite like watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me

Hello there, Here is a little bit about myself. My name is Lana and I have been passionate about nursing and taking care of others since I was 7 years old. Growing up, I had a sick mother who has always been under medical care and it is since then I had an opportunity to be in contact with doctors and learn much about the healthcare field. I graduated with a nursing diploma over 20 years ago, and have been taking care of a wide arrange of senior citizens for 11 years in Chicagoland area. My most experience is live-in and live-out senior care of elderly with diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer's, etc. I am dependable and flexible provider of physical and emotional care to the elderly. Please review the list of services I provide and do not hesitate to ask questions. I have my own vehicle and a valid IL Driver's license, clean driving record and background check. I would bring references to an interview. Please contact me if you think I would fit for the job. Warm regards, -Lana
