I became a caregiver because i worked in a nursing home and did not like how the aged people was taken care of. I thought about my father and how will he be taken care when he reach the age where he will need help. I like being a caregiver, and worked as one when I was at school and also for 3 years with an agency because I feel like taking care of my father and mother. The families of aged people that I have taken care of are happy with the care I give to their father or mother.They treated me like a family. I worked as a dietitian in nursing homes until I retired to take care of my 2 year old daughter. I went back to work as caregiver when I divorced and my daughter is old enough to take care of herself when I'm at work. I love to cook and being a dietitian for 17 years, I can prepare special meals for different people who are on special diet. I am easy to work with and I'm willing to be trained. I am a happy person, I enjoy cooking and reading. And I enjoy taking care of people. What makes me a great caregiver? Well first and foremost I care for my patients. I make sure that t.eir needs are taken care of. I am also a fast learner and willing to be trained. I can also adjust to different patients and their needs.
