I've been a caregiver for 35 yrs. I started in this field when I was just 17. I love what I do. I come from a medical family and decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor or nurse. I specialize in geriatric dementia and Alzheimers care. Every client needs to know they're truly cared for on every level with love, patience, and kindness. I enjoy learning from them ... they often have amazing histories, stories and lessons to share.I'm often with my clients for the duration of their lives.

When I was a teenager, I provided care for my uncle when he was really sick and bedridden. I was on vacation and decided to be with him instead. He improved after a couple of months and I helped him with transferring, feeding, comfort, toileting and grooming. I really enjoyed assisting him and knew I wanted to become a caregiver or a nurse. I really love providing for the needs of my patients, improving their care and giving back to the patients and families. Sometimes the joy you see in their faces after a job, and the smile and thank you makes all the hard work worth your time. During my job, and past experience, I have assisted coworkers to help patients that needed extensive help such as transferring, toileting, grooming and companionship. I am a reliable person, friendly, organized, patient, hard working, strong, and flexible. I love helping others and always have this smile on my face that gives hope and happiness to others. I am highly talented as a nursing aide with a lot of experience in performing work caring for residents. I am bilingual in French and English; have excellent interpersonal communication skills, am compassionate and technically skilled in attending to patients. I am adept to helping patients in diverse healthcare settings. I am a certified nursing assistant with experience working with the elderly and adults.
