I am an excellent caregiver because I am a passionate, people's person and I have 10 plus years experience. I decided to become a caregiver when I went through a personal experience. My Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, which was very devastating for my family and myself. I changed my lifestyle to take care of my Mom. When my Mom passed away I decided to go into the healthcare field to provide people with the level of respect and dignity that they deserve, because we took care of Mom at home due to the difficuties and expenses of putting her in a facility. Providing care and companionship to people is and will always be a part of my life. There is nothing like the rewarding feeling you get when you know you have made someone feel better or even smile regardless of what they are going through. This why I chose this field and why I continue to work and advance in the healthcare field.
