I became a caregiver when my grandmother had a stroke and had to come live with me. It was a very challenging but informational experience. I enjoyed caring for her. There are so many steps into becoming a good caregiver. The person has to be very comfortable with you and most important trust you. I enjoy helping others with daily living activities. I love to see clients improve on helping themselves and not be afraid because they know I'm there to help. My personal achievement I'm proud of is being patient and understanding to my clients needs and giving the best patient care. I have worked as a caregiver for almost six years. I have been a CNA for 6 years. I enjoy the care I provide. I have Associates degree in Applied Science. I have a certificate in phlebotomy and medical assistant. I later hope to go back to school to become a nurse. My current job is at a retirement community in the skilled facility where I provide care for residents that are in rehab and long term care. I help the nurses with patient care and vital signs. I feel I would be a great caregiver with my experience
