I'm signing up to be a caregiver for my mother. I'm very close to her and last year we hired somebody through the service and she ended up stealing from my mother and when we called to report it, they told us that we could sign up and be the caregiver ourselves and I jumped at that opportunity. I'm 48 years old. I have a beautiful wife and four-year-old daughter who I love dearly. I'm a God-fearing man and a hard worker and my parents mean everything to me. Dementia is difficult and they say it's more difficult on the caregivers especially if you're a family member. I totally agree, but it's even harder when you've got both of your parents in the same boat.
