I grew up with a disabled sister, 14 years my senior. There were seasons when I provide assistance during her wheel chair bound years. My mother lived with me when she became disabled. Note, she was mentally fully functioning and was physically high functioning in the spectrum of being disabled. However, she definitely could not drive during her last few years.
