About Carrie

I did hair prior to having my children. After they were born I stayed home to raise them. My mom was in a terrible accident and I cared for her after she was released from the hospital. That is when I realized I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. I have always loved interacting with people. I am very outgoing and talkative. I always look for new ideas and better ways to care for my people. I have taken care of a lady that was totally dependent on me. I fed her, bathed, clothed, helped her in the bathroom, brushed her teeth. She had no use of her limbs. She had a G tube, so I have experience with that. I also have experience with diabetics, cancer, and stroke patients. I am able to do transfers and I am also able to use a hoyer lift. I recently cared for a sweet young man that had severe cerebral palsy due to severe brain damage. He also had a G tube and a trach. The family moved out of state, otherwise I would still be with him. I currently care for a very sweet woman with MS, in the mornings. I have been with her over 5 years. I love to help people. When one of my kids or husband gets sick, my husband calls me Florence Nightingale. I love to take care of people and try to make them as comfortable and happy as possible. I have been caring for people for 11 years now, and I love doing it. I love to laugh and have fun. I tend to get attached to the people I care for, therefore I stay with them as long as they need me. I care for people the way I would want to be cared for if I should ever need it. I believe in karma. You get what you give in this world. So, I always try to give 110%. Pay rate is negotiable depending on care needs. I look forward to hearing from you, and if not, I wish you well in finding the right person to care for your loved one.

I cared for a Austin who had severe cerebral palsy. He was totally dependent on others for everything. I was there to get him off the bus from school and stayed with him til his mom got gome from work. He needed to be suctioned, due to not being able to swallow on his own. He had a G tube and a trach. He was unable to move, so I made sure to move and reposition him. Bathed and dressed. Kept him clean and comfortable. Talked to him. Played his favorite music and sang to him. Some may say my singing is a form of torture...lol. He was my "Sweetie Man". I loved him and cared for him like he was my own. I am still friends with the family and go to visit them as often as I can.
