I am a high school graduate looking to start a career in at-home care. My grandmother suffered her second and most severe stroke in 2011. After moving in with her and seeing the impact a helping hand had on her recovery, I decided there is nothing I would rather do with my life than help others in similar situations. I have experience in personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing) , Mobility assistance, medication management, meal preparation and eating assistance, errands and appointment transportation, emotional and social support, and pet care. I do not currently have any certifications however I am more than willing to obtain whatever is needed to suit you and your family members needs. I am aware that not having a background check may raise some red flags for employers however since it is an added expense i will hold off on that until i meet with serious clients but if you and your family are genuinely considering me i would be more than happy to get that for you. I currently work part time in food service but I am looking to transition completely to home care once I find the right position.
