Hi there! I am a 32 year old mother of 2. I live in Bethany with my 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son. I have always loved caring for others, no matter their age or needs. I find giving yourself to someone else in your profession is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling! I especially have a tender spot for the elderly. As a girl I volunteered in nursing homes my mama was employed by. She's a nurse of 18 years and opened the door to this world for me. I immediately fell in love with providing care and knew this was my calling in life. I am CPR certified, and have performed CPR successfully once after a patient suffered a heart attack. I am also certified in home care, Alzheimer's Disease, communicable disease, bathing/grooming, and transferring. I am able to perform glucose checks, manage oxygen use, take blood pressures, and perform range of motion. I am trained in creating and carrying out care plans as well as shift charting. My most recent patient has passed away, leaving me to find someone to devote myself to. I was with him for approximately 7 years, and the loss has been difficult. After taking some time to grieve, I am now ready to move forward and continue the line of work I am so passionate about. I am a very compassionate, caring woman. ...quick to smile and love to laugh. I am incredibly detail oriented and very reliable. I understand the importance of patience and building a foundation of trust, while giving consideration to each individual's needs and wants. It's never only about what someone needs. What a person wants is just as important, and if at all possible to safely give them that, I feel the effort should be made. My goal is to provide the medical care my patient needs, while also being a companion and allowing them to remain in their home where they feel safe and secure in their surroundings.
