I started when my grandmother became ill and was sent home on hospice care. My aunt and I took care of her at her home until she passed and then I knew this is what I wanted to do. I was raised and taught that our elders are to be respected, helped and honored so helping others not only our elders but all aged people comes naturally for me. I enjoy knowing I helped someone with something they were not able to do even if it's something as easy as listening to someone who wants to be heard or someone who needs a deeper level of care as my grandmother did. I am proud of training a countless number of CNA's at my prior nursing home job, they would come back to thank me for being so patient and for teaching them how to be a great CNA. Most recently I have been working privately with a family for the past 4 yrs.
