I'm 35 years of age, I have been doing caregiver's work for 11 years. I enjoy taking pride in my work and make family with residents. I treat each and everyone of my residents with respect and dignity. Regardless of their diseases they may have. At the end of the day they're still human. I have gained many of friendship with my residents. I became a caregiver when my grandmother became sick and we took turns caring for her. It made me look at life totally different. I care for my clients as if I would want someone to care for myself,or my mom. What I enjoy most is how happy my residents be when they see me and greet me by name that let's me know I'm doing something right. Cause even though they have dementia they are still able to remember my name. That let me know I left a mark on their heart. So a smile goes a long way.
