About Twanisha

My name is Twanisha! I am 19 year old loving,caring, hardworking, dedicated and motivated female. I recently graduated from North Chicago Community High School on May24th,2018. I am currently enrolled in college classes. I will be majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in physiology. I currently work at the Lake Forest Place Retirement Home. I have been an employee with Presbyterian Homes for two years. Working with my grandmother who recently passed in 2016 motivated me to become a caregiver/personal assistant. Young when first getting involved with the care giving tasks I still enjoyed reminding her to take her medication, helping cool break fast,lunch and dinner, running earrands and assisting her with other daily task. I enjoy helping others a lot. I also love to have conversations with elders because from past experience I have learned alot!! I am proud to be a high school graduate I am also proud to be so trust worthy and responsible to still have my own apartment and vehicle at only 19 years old.

I work in the Health Care department Memory Care floor. I have experience on the skilled floor and also the assisted living floor. I help feed and keep residents with Dementia safe,calm and relaxed. I also assist with making sure residents are in a safe loving environment. One of my favorite things about my job is that all of the residents enjoy my care I provide and how I have the ability to help make some have interest in things they usually dont take interest in such as taking their prescribed medication.
