About Lisa

Hi my name is Lisa Captain. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 plus years. I have exsperience in hospitals...nursing homes and home health (Private pay). I am very qualified to take care of the elderly. I am very careing...compationate. ..loving and have a friendly personality. I became attracted to being a CNA when I was 18yrs old now 50. I would go visit my grandmother's great aunt in a nursing home and would just observe everything going on around me. I've always been empathetic towards animals and the elderly at a young age. I knew after a few visits at the nursing home that was where I wanted to work. I felt such empathy for the elderly I was seeing while visiting my grandma's great aunt. I would help the other paitents when i saw they needed help at my visit. So I decided to get Certified as a Nursing Assistant and that's what I did since a young age of 18. I've met so many wonderful people over the years with many memories I'll never forget. I believe taking care of the sick elderly is what God wanted me to do. I have such a big heart filled with tons of compassion for what I do. I'm a hard worker....I love all animals and love to clean as well if needed. Being a CNA is what my calling is here on earth. There not one other thing I'd rather do. I take care of my patients as if they were my own family member. You will NOT be disappointed if you hire me as a caregiver. I'm the most loving...careing...compationate person for this type of work. If interested interviewing me. You can call my cell # which is 708-738-1205.

John Ghilardi
I took care of a lady named Beverly Ghilardi during the night shift sometimes afternoons. My hours were 10pm to 8am monday.....wenesday and Friday. I prepared her for bed by getting her to the bathroom. I would toilet iher...get her pajamas on....help her brush her teeth then help her to her bed with a walker. She had an alarm attached to her pajama top, because she would try and get out of bed (sometimes). Beverly had a stroke that effected her speech mostly. She use to walk on her own but after her stroke she started useing a walker. You had to walk along side of her, because sometimes she lost her balance. She became a fall risk when ambulatory. I basically stayed overnight with her right beside her on the couch. She had a hospital bed in the middle of her living room. Sometimes I would come in at 5pm til 10pm if needed. Then I would prepare her dinner and we would sit in her kitchen til about 630, then walk into her living room and I'd help her sit in her recliner to watch TV til bedtime. She had a few pills to take with dinner and a pill at bedtime to help her sleep. She was such a wonderful person but eventually went down hill. She became weaker and weaker where she couldn't get to the bathroom with out a wheel chair. Then she no longer was able to get up out of bed. So I'd put her on a commode right next to her bed after dinner (when I worked pms) or before bed. She eventually stopped eating and went into hospice and passed away at home.

What makes me a great caregiver I will say that I really care about people I tried to listen to what their needs and wants are and try to provide them with the best of my ability. I'm a caring loving person I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated, I became a caregiver when I was 13 years old taking care of my grandmother and her friends that was Eastern star members. I would go to their homes and prepare their food and take out the garbage and clean their homes in the summertime I found a lot of joy in helping them. The most thing that I enjoy about being caregiver is being there for someone that really needs me, listening to their stories, providing the care that they need. It gave me great joy to know that I am need it and want it. My personal achievement is to start my own group homes for the homeless, for the children, and for the seniors, and for the mentally ill. I want to see if community their work together stays together I think everyone needs each other to make this world a better place to live .
