I am lover of people! I currently am a direct support manager where I mage and maintain a group home where I work with multiple individuals with neurological disorders and physical handicaps and hearing impairment. What attracted me to the caregiver role is my love of people and my desire to be of help! The thing I love most is making the individuals that I work with happy and helping them to achieve their goals of becoming more independent. When I started in this field I started with an entry level position and through hard work and dedication I've been awarded a new role as Manager of a group home of three individuals who I can make a difference in their lives everyday. The mere feeling of appreciation every time I walk in the door is the best reward of all!
