      Elyse Perlen
I was the caregiver of Elyse’s mom, Elaine Feinner for almost 5 years. Since she stayed in the memory care facility, my job was to make sure that is clean, well dressed, comfortable, assisted with feeding and had her engaged in the activities of the facility, encouraged to do some exercises depending on her mood and her breathing as she had emphysema. She had Alzheimer, COPD and diabetes. She stopped eating and passed away last December 19,2017. I’ve been working as a caregiver for 10 years in home and facility. I also work in the memory facilities that takes care 5-7 residents. I had working experience clients with dementia, Alzheimer, hemephlegic, diabetes, COPD/ with breathing treatment, cancer and hospice cases.

CLARENCE/ Mary HANNA - Gayle Starkovich
I worked as a live-in caregiver for the couple, Clarence and Mary Hanna at their residence at La Grange Park. Clarence had a Alzheimer, COPD with 24/7 oxygen on, diabetes, and pacemaker. I had to give his breathing treatment 3x a day and check his blood sugar before meal. Mary, the wife was half paralyzed due to stroke. My responsibilities were: to get them up in the morning, gave them shower, dressed, prepared their meals, check vitals then had them eat their breakfast and gave their meds. I did their laundry, housekeeping, meal preparation, medication, check vitals and made sure they are dry, comfortable and had their exercise.
