I've been working as an occupational therapy assistant for 20 years, mostly in skilled nursing facilities . I love working with the geriatric population and have great rapport with my patients. The therapy world has drastically changed since October 1, and I'm ready for a new career! About 4 years ago I discovered I had talent in abstract painting using alcohol ink and acrylic paints and people are thrilled when I teach them that they too can be an artist! I like to keep my patients/clients engaged by playing card games/ word games and find that they are very appreciative of my style of providing Therapy. I'm very patient centered and love to get my patients to open up and be hopeful about the future. I'm very caring and empathetic and will treat your loved ones like my own family. To be clear, I would not be providing occupational therapy in this setting, however, I will provide companionship, cleaning , baking, whatever needs to be done to make life easier for my clients.

Hi my name is Jazzmere and I've been a certified nurse assistant for 8 plus years. I got into the field because I like helping people and also I have family members in the nursing field. I do have a personal connection with being a caregiver, I took care of my grandfather who was battling Parkinson's disease. I took care of him in his final days here on earth and made him as comfortable as possible. I miss him very much. Besides being a caregiver, I enjoy spending time with my family and especially my 5 year old son. He is the most important person to me. If I'm not spending time with family I'm in school part time pursuing my nursing degree.
