My personality traits are I am upbeat, positive, happy, and dependable. I cared for a friend who was my attorney , and he was a quadriplegic. He asked me to care for him, which I did for years. I then went into personal care, in which I lived in the homes with couples who needed help. From there I took CNA classes, then nursing home, and then into the office as a program director , care coordinator, HR, marketing ect. I have always kept my foot in the door while working office jobs as I so enjoyed helping others. I later on ran group homes for others and then myself most recently . What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is seeing the 1st smile on the face of the patient who was totally against having someone come to care for them . I have experience with many dementia, Alzheimer's patients as well as Hospice, which have a reputation of being some of the most challenging cases. However I feel they just need extra love and patience, an innovative approach to reassure them your their to help. No matter what it looks like ,I am up for the challenge. This stamina and tenacious spirit is what has grown inside of me , over the decades of being in this field and for that I am most proud of all I have contributed.
