I became a caregiver to two men that are autistic. I became there caregiver because I would rather help someone else then help myself. I think of other people before myself. It takes a special kind of person to give care to someone and be genuine about it, which is a characteristic about myself that I think I have. I like being a care giver because I have a passion for other people. Seeing someone that has a disability be happy and lead a healthy life ahead of them is something I strive for in working with the men that I do now. When working with people with disabilities for awhile you grow an attachment to them. One of the men I work with has a mind of a 18 month old baby. I am not a parent myself but its like caring for an infant, so I always want to see improvement in his everyday tasks just like any other caring parent would. It just enlightens my job. A personal achievement that I am proud of would be, yes getting through school. Schooling is a big part of someone my age's life. I have a condition called dyslexia, which made it even harder but pushed me to try my best and achieve a diploma like a did this past year. I am a very hard worker, once I put my mind to something I plan on finishing it to my best abilities. I am a very kind and loving person which makes me who I am.
