My name is Gloria , I live in Fishers,in What do I like about being a caregiver? It gives me great comfort and satisfaction in helping someone else in need of care . I have been doing this for several years either by running errands, fixing or feeding someone their meals. I help by doing light house work, laundry, or whatever someone might need while I am with them. I have worked , at St Luke Home for the elderly. I have work for primrose schools Love sports and to read. Always open to doing fundraising or cold calling when need I, also, have three sons, who over the last 20 years needed me to assist in getting them to and from doctor and hospital appointments . All three sons were in need of a kidney and were in one stage of dialysis or in the hospital recovering. All have recovered and are doing well . My last son received his a year and a half ago. Now I am reaching out to help someone in need of assistance, who would need my help to get around fishers or someone who needs a caregiver to help in the home. I am looking for a part time position with hours in the evenings and/or weekends. I became a Caregiver because I enjoy being around people. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and after my grandfather passed away, I would visit her frequently to do her hair and other small tasks for her. The more time I spent there, I discovered how much I loved it. I got my Caregivers certificate within months and have never loved what I do so much. I love being able to help others. I love encouraging them to embrace what they can do and help them, gently, with what they are unable to do, now. Even though the job may be difficult at times, the reward at the end of the day is always worth it. I have worked in some very challenging circumstances where my patience, joy and understanding are challenged. I am proud to say that I have learned to understand where my client is coming from in different circumstances. I have learned to be patient with them during any situation and to be joyful before, during and after any trying time. I am a people person, with a big heart, who cares immensely for other people. I am trustworthy, kind, patient, caring and understanding.
