Hello! My name is Andrea, you may also call me Andy (for short) I've been a CNA since 2008. What's helped me enjoy my career more than anything is my residents & families. I consider everyone I have got the pleasure of taking care of like extra grandparents and I couldn't thank their families enough for sharing them with me. I've been trained & also have worked with Alzheimer's, & dementia. My grandmother whom I took care of for a couple years also had this disease. I've been trained on hoyer lifts many times. Also I've been educated on puree foods, thicken liquids & mechanical soft. I have a family of 2 of which I absolutely adore. My 13 yr old son & 1 yr old little girl. They keep me busy when I'm not working our summers consist of baseball games, swimming & learning something new everyday.

Hello! First and foremost I want to thank you for concerning me to take care of your loved one. I take pride in being a caregiver! A good caregiver is patient, flexible, and has empathy and compassion. Those are exact reasons why I knew I wanted to take care of people! At a very young age I realize that I always wanted to help people. From taking care of younger siblings to my grandpa when he got sick. I wanted to make sure that quality of life was being lived to the fullest. I enjoyed seeing others happy because I was able to help. I knew my passion of caregiving really took a toll on me when I started my first CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) job. The experience I received really grew my passion for being a caregiver!

What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver? Patience : especially when dealing with the elderly, it is essential for a caregiver to be patient because some of the consumers might not know what they are doing and some needed more time to understand informations . Honest Trustworthiness Compassion Attentiveness . What attracted you to being a caregiver? Being reliable, arriving for work on time and fulfilling all duties in a timely manner. Respecting my patients' privacy and dignity. Exhibiting a positive demeanor and kind tone of voice. Being considerate and kind when working with the patient. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Putting a smile on my patients face when they achieve their daily goals What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I love to help people, I'm a caregiver for 18 years, like to try my clients with respect and dignity, if the client and family agree, I enjoy to cook homemade fresh healthy meals, keep my client and the place clean, encouraging them to do some activity or exercises, also I can take my client to doctor and therapy appointment, can take vitals, errands...

I have lived with a disabled veteran for 7 years that has the brain of a 7year old and he is 37. I have been a truck driver for IMI for 30 yrs my achievement is that i connected with Austin and he has a sever TBI and I took on the father figure that he never had

I have been a CNA for 10 years, and have worked in all different situations in many different facilities. I aspire to go further with my nursing degree, and eventually, hopefully become an RN like my mom. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me a sense of purpose, I enjoy helping people. Many life lessons held dearest to my heart, came from the facility where I worked my first 2 years as a CNA. I currently work PRN for an agency based out of Indianapolis. Although I am through an agency, I have been steadily picking up at a facility in Franklin for over 5 years. I am searching for a PRN or part time option closer to home. I have been in healthcare for awhile now. I've worked with dementia patients, hospice patients, and most diseases or disabilities you can think of. Healthcare and assisting people in general has been what I've wanted to do since I was a child and I'm now fulfilling that dream. Taking care of those who once took care of us! I enjoy being a caregiver because knowing the fact that I can make someone's life a little easier by assisting them with simple tasks makes me feel so much joy. I truly love what I do.

I have been a cna for 11 years and a qma for 4 years. I also have my certificate to give insulin. I love taking care of people and I'm currently in school to become a nurse. Since doing agency I always thought about having one client I can take care of, bond with, and be there for them as long as I'm needed. I enjoy being there for people when they need somebody to support them even if it's just an companion. My personal achievement I'm proud of is that I'm not stopping at qma, I'm furthering my career.
