I have been caring for my 94 year old grandmother for the past 2 years. This has been the most rewarding experience for me. It has taught so much about myself, and that giving kindness, love, patience, and a helping hand and an open heart can truly make a difference in a person's life. To see the smile on her face when I walk in the door is amazing. I never thought I could actually take care of another human in the most intimate way, but I was wrong. It is an honor to be able to care for my gram in the latter part of her life. I strive to always make her feel loved, understood, heard and relevant. Laughter of course is the best medicine. Sitting and talking and laughing is so much fun, and extremely enlightening for me as well. I have learned so much.
