About Jaimeson

Hi! My name is Jaimeson, I'm 30, and I currently live in Greenfield, IN, with my husband, Creedon. I have a long history of taking care of adults and children as my husband and I come from large families. I have a mom-in-law that has early onset dementia that I worked with for 6 months before she needed to be in a memory care unit and our family was always amazed at how she responded better to me than others. Same with my uncle who is now in a memory care unit. I am able to get into their world and create a purposeful feeling for them. My friend Bud, who is 80, lives alone with his service Newfoundland and I still visit with him for companionship once a week. We enjoy good conversations, drinking coffee and sharing stories of his wife who has passed on. I love older folks and have always had a heart for them, ever since I was young. My experience started in my teens when my mom because the chaplain at Westminster Village North. She has taught me invaluable lessons of making patients feel loved by showing them kindness, compassion and respect. I am CPR and first-aid certified, assistant I completely understand the peace of mind that it gives to someone looking for a caregiver for themselves or a loved one. I am the go-to "care person" in our family, as adults tend to love me, so I look forward to working with you or your loved one. Thank you!

Housekeeper

Jul 2019 - Aug 2020
Bud Atwell’s Home
Bud is a great family friend! I met him when he moved a few doors down from my husband and I. At the time he had just turned 80 and had a tough time walking, so as we became friends and I would help him with different chores, he asked if he could hire me to do a bit more work for him. My responsibilities included cleaning his house (2 bedroom one bath), sweeping, mopping, dishes, and doing the yard work, which included picking up after his dog, mowing, weed eating and trimming bushes. I would also inform him of any work that needed someone hired to be done, such as plumbing and HVAC issues, so normal maintenance of house. The only reason I stopped was because his daughters ended up taking more care of them as their schedules allowed. I still see him at least once a week.

Having seen my work ethic, ability to help others, and known of previous nannying experience of mine, they asked me to become their nanny for their newborn. Starting when he was just a few weeks old, I loved helping to raise and nurture him. As he grew older, I loved to incorporate music into learning activities. I am still great friends with their family today.

I am looking for a part time position with hours in the evenings and/or weekends. I became a Caregiver because I enjoy being around people. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and after my grandfather passed away, I would visit her frequently to do her hair and other small tasks for her. The more time I spent there, I discovered how much I loved it. I got my Caregivers certificate within months and have never loved what I do so much. I love being able to help others. I love encouraging them to embrace what they can do and help them, gently, with what they are unable to do, now. Even though the job may be difficult at times, the reward at the end of the day is always worth it. I have worked in some very challenging circumstances where my patience, joy and understanding are challenged. I am proud to say that I have learned to understand where my client is coming from in different circumstances. I have learned to be patient with them during any situation and to be joyful before, during and after any trying time. I am a people person, with a big heart, who cares immensely for other people. I am trustworthy, kind, patient, caring and understanding.
