About Erika

Hello! I'm Erika and I have about 7 years total of caregiver experience. I got my first caregiver job when I was 21 and instantly enjoyed it! I have personally helped with taking care of my grandma, that had alzheimers, until she was put into an assisted living home then into a nursing home, until her passing. It gives you a warm feeling knowing you can help someone that isn't able to completely do daily tasks like they once could. You don't do it for a reward just out of the goodness of your heart! The smile on their face is what makes your day because you know your hard work is appreciated. Sometimes you get to hear some pretty cool stories too which is always a bonus part of the job! I currently am looking for something full time until I begin CNA classes in July 2019, then will be seeking part time work. I truly enjoy this field of work which is why I'm looking to make a career out of it by becoming a CNA. I make it my goal to try and make my client(s) feel as comfortable as possible. Giving the family some peace of mind when they can't always be around to help is a good feeling as well! Sometimes just being a companion is all it takes to make their day.
