I have been a Certified Nurse Assistant for North Kansas City Hospital's Orthopedic Department for 7 years and an eFiler for 6 months. My passion for patient care started when I was young and took care of my sick grandmother at the time. It takes selflessness, patience, and a caring attitude to be a Certified Nurse Assistant. I know how to take and read vital signs, properly take manual blood pressure and, check blood sugars, properly lift and stand patients with disabilities, operate lift machines, orthopedic machines such as Continuous Passive Motion machines, and know how to chart in EMR's for physicians and nurses. I love taking care of patients because it gives me a chance to give back to the community by caring for those in need, and I can take my skills and apply it to making a difference in someone else's life. A personal achievement I am proud of is I received star of the month twice in two years, accomplished my associates in Applied Science and working on my Bachelors in Health Care Management. I'm the only one in my family to have graduated high school, I have a passion for helping others, but babysit for families on weekends for free since daycare is expense these days.
