I am very passionate about helping others as a caretaker and yoga instructor. Being subjected to illness in my family and personally I learned it takes great strength, communication, thoughtfulness, compassion, patience, research, support and good attitude in unfortunate I'm circumstances. Caregiving is not easy, I'm bringing light into someone's day and must make light of challenging situations. The moments of laughter, smiles and gratitude is worth it all. I find joy in companionship through conversation, games and finding activities that are mutually fun and engaging of the mind. It is a vulnerable situation a stranger entering someone's home, I like being personable while maintaining appropriate work ethics to make us all comfortable and at home, I pride myself on getting along with many personality types so long as respect is mutually established. I have genuine interest in learning about others and sharing. I go beyond looking for ways that I can simplify and enhance routines. I can be of great help to the family adopting new ways to sufficiently care, gain knowledge and tools for patients as changes occur. With the right home and patient I can be a valuable caregiver that goes beyond the requirements of the job title. I love that I have the opportunity grow as a person in the growing field of home health care and work with greater standards to be a better example of caregiving should provide.
