I am a Certified Nursing Assistant, I've been certified for 4 years now. I have received my license in the state of RI and I've worked for RI for 4 years. I am now a CNA for the state of FL as of June 2014. I have had experience with pediatric patients and adults of all ages. I've worked with kids with CP, kids with autism, adults with MS, adults who were paraplegic. My last client before moving here has MS and was considered Paraplegic and I would go to her home every day except Thursdays and I would help her get up in the mornings. I would help with showers, food preparation, assist with feeding, basic house cleaning, I would take her to doctor's appointments and run her to errands. There were some days that we would take free time and go to the beach, or have a cookout at her backyard or even go shopping. A lot of the days we would work on her business, she was a graphic designer and we would work on invitations, book making, anything made out of paper we would make them. I worked 15 hours on the first year, than I moved up to 36 hours a week for an additional 2 years. I've had an elderly client for 1 year who needed no physical care, I assisted her with the basic chores and errands. I've worked for a total of 15 clients in the past 4 years, from the ages of 3 - 93 and with all types of disabilities. My family all work in the medical field and just hearing their amazing experiences made me want to become a CNA and eventually become a nurse and help those in need of help. I
