I started out in this field after taking care of my grandma who lost her leg. She had to go through lots of therapy before going back home. Once she was home I was there for her each day. It was hard for her to be now cared for she was always the person helping everyone else. I truly enjoyed it and decided that this was something I could do to help others in the same situation. She never wanted to live in a nursing home I understood that so I thought of all the other people in the same situation who never thought they would be faced with a life changing illness. So after she died in 2007 I started taking care of others in their homes.
