I try to make light of every situation and instead of giving my direct thoughts I sit and listen and try to negotiate with the patients to make sure they feel seen and heard. I always work to the best of my ability and insure that the patient doesn't feel like I'm just there for the money but to also be their friend. The woman I had previously worked for hadn't had any help with moving or getting to where she could sit up or just lay down to relax the pressure on her upper back so i got her to the point she could pull herself up to sit on the side of the bed and i will always be so proud of her and myself that day.
