My name is Shameka and I love being a caretaker. I am a very easy-going punctual loving person.Being a caregiver it's not a difficult task when you have a passion to help people.I believe the thing that makes me a good caregiver is that I don't look at my Patients as clients I treat them as they are my family By providing caring hands with a caring heart. My interest in becoming a caregiver was when my mother was diagnosed with diabetes and became blind in both eyes. I decided that I would take care of her and provide the best care possible for my mother .

I believe patience is a key to providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Whether for physical or emotional support, loved ones will benefit greatly from someone who always be reliable and dependable. Half of being a caregiver is listening and paying attention. Attentiveness helps me better assist and understand the needs of loved ones. I'm Trustworthy when it comes to sensitive and confidential information. Positivity plays a big part in anyone's well being. I will always greet clients with a big smile and positive attitude. I'm an observer with excellent communication skills. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I've enjoyed taking care of family and friends and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel i can get along well with a variety of elders. I've seen caregivers out and about and it seems like something I would love to do. Caregiving is an extremely rewarding job. Taking care of people is something i can be proud of. Caregivers and residents also develop special relationships. Overall good feeling knowing I'm helping someone achieve their goals. As a Whole Foods market worker i come across customers of all ages. I genuinely enjoy helping them find items or answering any questions they may have . It makes me feel good that I am there to help. I've builded quite a few relationships with customers. the elder especially gravitate towards me.
