I became caregiver because I have a passion for helping others. The best part of this profession is knowing that my help is wanted and appreciated greatly by my residents I help on the daily basis. In this field especially you have to learn how to have empathy and put yourself in the shoes of the people you are caring for and ask yourself how you want to be cared for when you are unable to care for yourself. One of my biggest achievements in working in this field is customer service. I dont look as this profession not only as a job but a duty because of my passion for helping others. Not only do I have tough skin, but going in with an open heart and wellingness to give a hand will left so many spirits. I pride myself on professionalism at times and patience is key. All my experiences come from working nursing homes, acute, sub-acute, longterm care facilities.
