I became a caregiver in 1999 beginning with my parents and I enjoyed the rewarding feeling it provided so in 2003 I switched my career from law enforcement to caregiver. I have worked for many elderly and special needs patients through the years and my level of accomplishment has only increased, as well as my skills. It also prepared me to care for my older sister, who had lung cancer, during her final years. She was able to remain at-home comfortably. It gives a great sense of pleasure to me to contribute to a persons day to day living. Making them comfortable and secure in their golden years. I am skilled in caring for patient with dementia as well as alzheimers. I bathe, dress, cook, manage medications and light housekeeping. Run errands and assist with doctors appointments. I am a very compassionate and responsible individual who can be depended on to provide whatever is needed for a fulfilling life.
