I first became a caregiver out of necessity, but fell in love with it. I became great pals with the elderly man I assisted and enjoyed caring for him. I find it humbling and rewarding to care for someone who can no longer fully care for themselves. I consider myself to be a kind, hard-working, and compassionate person who loves serving others, and I've been told that I am an excellent listener. I also love farming and gardening; my husband and I are working on having land of our own one day. The elderly man I cared for previously had a small garden and I thoroughly enjoyed helping work it in the summers. This line of work is near to my heart as I've lost 3 grandparents over the last 2 years, two of which received hospice care. I want other families to have the same peace of mind that mine had knowing our loved ones were being cared for properly in their later years.
