To be a great caregiver your heart really has to be into this line of work. I started CNA work at 18 and I knew the medical field and taking care of my residents and or patients is something I always want to do. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they realize they have a good CNA taking care of them is what I do the job for. I enjoy making sure my clients are clean well-fed well dressed and comfortable because wouldn't you want to be feeling your best at all times when you get older and unable to do most things by yourself ? At just 18 my first CNA job in a tiny local nursing home I was awarded for outstanding work ethic and I felt so proud because I do take pride in my work and it felt good to know my work was being appreciated by my superiors. I hope I have the chance to put that smile on your families face because they deserve it.
