In 1995 I was a PCA for my grandmother. I took care of her till her last day, 5yrs in all. Then a yr with my Mom also till her last day. They both wished to pass away in their homes. I've seen 3 people on hospice, in their homes as they wished, and 3 people on hospice in their hospital rooms. I've worked with a home care agency for 5yrs, and a assistant living home for 1yr. I have great respect for our Elderly! They have worked hard their whole lives, it's the least I can do to help them live an independent, safe daily routine in their home! And the Elderly on hospice, I make sure that their every wish comes true to the best of my ability. I'm a non~smoker, non~drinker, I enjoy singing, fishing, crocheting, reading, & taking pictures. I have first aid, a great driving record, references,TB tested, & background check upon request. I'm comfortable cooking home made meals according to their diet, housekeeping, showers/baths, scheduling appointments, taking them out to eat or shopping if their not home bound, grocery shopping, being sure that medicine refills are up to date, giving them their medicine if needed, going in with them as they see the dr, so I can let their family know what the dr says, because most family members must work and can't keep every dr appt. I'm exp, in By Polar, Schizophrenia, Diabetes, Liver& Colon Cancer, Alzh, & Parkinson. After my husband passed away, I went back to school and got my GED. 2013. I'm available, 12 hr days, I work week ends and holidays,
