I am an excellent caregiver. Primarily because I understand how difficult it is to allow someone else to care for your loved one. I decided to be a caregiver 18 yrs ago when I was only 15 years old and my own grandmother fell ill. She raised me and I loved her so much but illness was winning and not knowing what to do we called in an aide. My grandmother was sent an amazing aide that told me the best thing for her was to be around family and laughter and the things she loves. That quality of life out weighs all ailments. I believe she was right so like her I embrace my clients personalities, acknowledge and encourage their strengths, and remind them always I am there to help if they need me. I enjoy seeing my clients live happy and fulfilling lives. I love the companionship that comes with this position, the opportunity to learn from someone you might not of ever met. I am currently employed with the Delta T Group @ Alhambra High School I have current CPR, First Aide, Class one Fingerprints, and a clean TB skin test. I work with all age groups infant to senior. I have been acknowledged as employee of the month twice w All Valley Home Health Care within the last two years. I can provide resume and references upon request. The services I provide include but are not limited to Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, and grooming. Transfers and ambulation. I am presently taking an RN Refresher course so shorter shifts a couple days a week work best for me. I have 16+ years in the capacity of a nursing assistant. I have worked extensively in nursing homes, assisted living , home health care and hospital settings. I also have 15 years experience as an RN in acute care and long term hospitalion settings. A good chunk of that time was with veterans. I am 56 years old-a mature Christian woman who does not get easily frazzled or upset .
