I become a caregiver my junior year of high school afternoons and weekends working in a long term care facility. I really enjoyed helping others and seeing people meeting their goals. My personal achievement I am most proud of is my continual learning and practical experience in this field of caregiving. I am a single mother of a young adult with special needs and several medical issues. I am always proud of the strides he is making in his life and some decisions he has had to make early in his life. I have lived in and lived out of homes for home care, I have worked in hospitals and long term care facilities through out my life. The people I have had the opportunity to provide care for have always given back with their exchange of stories and life lessons.
