I get along with everyone, I am very very patient. I am outgoing, flexible and very easy to talk to. I always do my job 110% and I never let anyone down. I take my jobs serious, but I know how to laugh, joke and have a good time. I never cross any lines that I shouldn't, I have 13 years experience with this work, I started taking care of my grandmother when I was twelve when she got diagnosed with MS. And also my grandfather when he got diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. That is what attracted me to be a caregiver, after he passed away I got into hospice it gave me great comfort knowing I could make people feel loved, comfortable and cared for in there last days. I also am a great supporter with their families as well. I enjoy making people's days, even if they are having a bad day I will always make a way to make someone smile, I love to make people fee happy, safe and secure. I am proud of myself that I got through college taking care of my grandmother and mother (that just got diagnosed with MS) as well I made it until the very end!

Right at home

This agency placed me in different homes, I would do meal prep, dressing, toileting, showering, errunds, give meds, clean, laundry, transfers, and anything that client or clients needed, I worked with couples, just one person. Each client or clients where different and there paperwork would explain what needed to be done. I also needed to record important information. I would keep in touch with some of the clients family when I got into hospice with different updates. I enjoyed this job so much!

I stared off as a companion for emotionally disturbed and developmentally delayed people from ages 12-70. It was in a school and at night we transported to the homes where the clients where placed. I did restraints, personal care, toileting, cleaning, meal prep, grocery shopping, feeding, showering, getting ready for bed, and one on one close up care.
