I feel it is very important to listen to the client and do my best to make him or her happy. When I dust and clean I like to place the clients belongings where the client wants them. I don't rearrange belongings or throw out anything without being told to. Always when I am in a clients home I keep safety in mind. I have a good memory and can think quickly. I am very patient and always calm in an emergency. I was my mom's full time caregiver for 5 months til she passed from breast cancer. It bothered me when I'd be with my mom getting tests done and we would see people who were alone. No family or friend with them to help them. Not even there to drive them to and from never mind being there to help them stay calm when they're worried and scared. I wanted to change that. I am currently a home healthcare companion. I have been taking referrals from a home healthcare agency. I love helping people. My clients tell me I make a difference in their lives. I like saying yes one of my clients said, April, you always say yes no matter what I ask. I treat my clients like I would want to be treated.

I have more than twenty years of experience working in the field of education, in addition to that I have raised three amazing children as well. I am also a grandmother and experienced nanny. I decided to become a care giver because my youngest child was turning 18 years old and I missed having someone to take care of. My favorite thing about being a nanny so far is getting to know the kids I care for and watching how they learn and grow. I am a most proud of my children, I managed to raise three awesome children who are kind, respectful and polite. I am currently a massage therapist and cake designer working part time out of my home, which makes my hours extremely flexible. I am a person who is active and enjoys keeping busy. I managed the Health & Safety department at Berkshire Red Cross for three years and then became a CPR/First Aid instructor there and was a teacher in an integrated preschool with autistic kids. I also have worked as a teacher at a charter school and as a residential councilor at a residential school for girls. I was an art major in high school and played basketball as well as volley ball for my school.
