In June 2019, I decided to leave my administrative career in education (25 years). I'm still young to actually retire and am a vibrant worker looking for a part time role as a caregiver. I am a licensed social worker (27 years) and genuinely interested in people, their stories, and their needs. I hope to improve the quality of life for the people I serve. I am an active outdoors person (hiking, biking, walking, beach strolling, kayaker and photographer) and would be extremely helpful in encouraging clients to move and get out of the house if they are able. I have a lot of time on my hands with a flexible schedule, and am willing to support people both physically, mentally and emotionally. I'm happy to do light housekeeping or yard work, meal preparation, shopping, driving, and general companionship. I'd work well with people who are lonely or lacking companionship and who might need a friendly and caring "visitor" in their home to play cards, chat, prepare a meal, or talk. My counseling skills are strong and conversations are a passion for me. Every person has a unique and intriguing story to tell and I'm an excellent listener! I work well with men and women. My grandparents were important people to me in my younger life, and I value time spent with people who are getting older.
