About Theresa

I worked mainly for adult mentally and physically challenged and loved it. They need lots of attention especially someone who will listen to them and has their best interest at heart. I loved the job. I loved watching them achieve goals they thought they wouldn't be able to achieve. Some needed personal care and understanding it can be a little frustrating for them as if they could do it themselves they would. They rely on you to be discrete and non judge mental in such a personal situation. I love being a caregiver because it has its own rewards. I like helping others, taking care of others, watching others grow. As far as elderly I miss my grandparents and this is a way to fill that void. They have a lot to offer with their experience and wisdom. Raising two children as a single mother, still working on my AA degree, and my work ethics. I am hard working , understanding, caring, loving and playful. I like to work and try to perfect the tasks at hand. I am working towards a degree first an AA then maybe more. I love helping others and enjoy time with my 4 yr old grandson. I have experience in daycare and adult care. I work as a Bistro/front desk agent/ night auditor/cook right now. I enjoy my job but there is little room for changing hours to day shift. I am embarking on a new chapter in life and am returning to the dating scene and it is very difficult to make things work when one person is working am and the other is working pm. Supervised 23 individuals in cleaning, making boxes, other tasks in a warehouse, dealt with differences in personalities, helped with hygiene, daily paperwork, talked to individuals parents, house managers, gave medication when needed, assisted nurses in making sure paperwork and medications were up to date. Worked in the residential houses where individuals resided and assisted them in their daily hygiene, cooking, cleaning, mentoring, medications when needed, scheduled doctors appointments, drove them to their appointments, outings, and where ever they wanted to go, helped them be part the community, took them to vote.
