When my mother had a stroke, I provided assistance with all aspects of daily care, including bathing, feeding,and wound care. I ensured that her medication was taken as prescribed and I ordered refills when needed. I helped with transportation to doctor's appointments and. I particularly enjoyed providing companionship and engaging her in lots of activities that interested her. I went back to school at Howard Community College and earned my Certified Nurses Assistance and Patient Care Tech certificates. I then work at Howard General Hospital in the Acute Ward.
