Serves as a Nursing Assistant responsible for providing quality medical care to nursing home patients to assist them in with achieving a high quality of life and participation in nursing home activities in a safe and caring manner. Responsible for maintaining statistics and recording patient’s intake vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight, temperature and respiration vital signs. Collaborating with the patient to obtained routine lab samples prior to seeing physician assignment. Assisting patients with activities of daily living, e.g., ambulation, dressing and other daily life essentials activities. Assisting patients with the proper use of equipment for their treatment such as anti-embolism stockings, bladder scanners, and pneumatic compression devices to speed their care and return to normal activities. Work closely with patients to ensure that the appropriate protocols are followed for infection control to prevent infection and the spread of germs, spores, and other infectious diseases. Performed routine patient observation and reporting in the monitoring of patient’s vital and daily activities to ensure patient’s recovery and prevent potential accidents.
