I became a Caregiver because I've always enjoy helping people. It feels good to be able to help someone who need help. I find it to be especially fulfilling working with senior citizens. They were once healthy and stong and as the aging process takes place and they become weak and frail and just need a little help sometimes to help them stay as independent as possible. I am happy to help them achieve their goal, because we are all going to get old if we are blessed to live long enough to go through the aging process and I would hope someone would be compassionate, kind and patient to me and leave me with my dignity. I'm very proud of the fact that I went back to school as an adult and obtained my Associates Degree and left Chicago and moved Washington DC and resided there for almost 20 years. I really enjoyed residing there in the WDC/Maryland area. I enjoy working with/helping people, also love music, dancing, dining out, going to the movies, theatre, art festivals and watching television especially nature/animal documentaries. I also love to travel and learn about different cultures. I'm allergic to cats and a lot of dust. I believe you should live life to the fullest and be grateful for small mercies.
