I think anyone who is a caregiver should love the job, and I can say that I definitely love the work that I do. I grew up with my grandparents who lived to be 99 and 102 years old. I enjoyed caring for them and I extend that love to the other people whom I care for. I have been a caregiver for over thirteen years, and I just love what I do. My mother is 93 years old and unfortunately the distance between us makes it impossible for me to care for her. So as a caregiver, I care for people as if they are my mother. Before she died i was her caregiver, and while i did my best to care for her, at the time of her death i felt like i could've done more to have made her comfortable had i'd been more educated in doing so. I get to lift up the spirits of downhearted indiviuals such as the elderly and infirmed by making them feel loved and still relevant. Having played a part in raising my beautiful daughter to be the intelligent and loving young lady she is today. Despite life's many challenges, i continue to live with this mind set "KEEP IT MOVIN" meaning, i will never allow anyone or anything to stop me from being who i am "a nice person."
