Hello, My name is Tiffany and I am a resident of Ocean Pines, MD. I have been a caretaker for over 20 years but mainly for younger children as I was the owner of a daycare and cared for children from the age of infants -5 year olds. I recently moved to MD to help care for my Dad after he suffered a stroke about a year ago. He has memory loss, needs assistance with walking with his walker, help preparing meals, administering his insulin, and assisting in daily tasks such as brushing his teeth, combing his hair, etc. I help sit with my Dad when my Mom needs a day to herself or has appointments of her own. I also attend most doctors appointments with my Dad since it can be a lot for my Mom to do alone. I also have some experience with Parkinson's Disease. I helped care for my father in-law who suffered from this disease. He would stay with us for weekends to help give his full time caretaker a break. Lastly, I have experience with cancer patients. In 2021 my husband was diagnosed with cancer. I was his sole caretaker while he went through 2 major surgeries followed by chemotherapy. I was not only caring for him but I was also caring for our two small children ages 4 and 5 years old. I sat with my husband during each of his chemotherapy appointments and I made sure he was getting rest, staying hydrated and eating while going through his treatments. Thankfully my husband is now cancer free and doing amazing! I am able to assist with daily activities such as meal prep, light house cleaning, laundry, pet care, playing games, working on puzzles, and most importantly to be a companion for your loved one. I know how lonely it can be when you are caring for your loved one and I would love the opportunity to lend a helping hand and give families the breaks they deserve.
